CVs and Job Application Letter Writing Services

One way or another, I’ve recruited hundreds of people over the years. I have no doubt that many potentially excellent applicants never made it to interview because they did not know how to ‘sell themselves’ in their CV and supporting statement or application letter.

I’ve read too many job applications where the content has been either muddled or irrelevant, where spelling, punctuation and grammar have been imperfect and where the appearance of the applications has been unappealing. Applicants have no chance of being invited to interview, no matter how good they might be.

Never forget, especially in this economic climate, that you are competing with dozens, even hundreds, of other job seekers. Your CV with supporting statement or letter of application has to stand out from the rest so that you are noticed and invited to interview. Employers haven’t got time to sift through poorly presented applications – first impressions count, and if they don’t like the look of your application, or if they start reading and spot lots of mistakes, I’m afraid your application is going straight in the bin.

I can do three things for you:

  1. take your existing CV with supporting statement or letter of application, proofread it and correct basic mistakes (spelling, punctuation, grammar, paragraphing) and/or make suggestions for improvement in the style (formatting, choice of word etc); you can either email it to me at info@written-for-you.co.uk or upload it using the contact form to the left of this page.
  2. write your CV with supporting statement from scratch; all you have to do is download the job application information template here, complete it in as much detail as possible and either upload it to the website using the contact form or send it back by email to info@written-for-you.co.uk. I will turn the information into a highly professional CV which will attract the attention of the recruitment agency, job board or employer and
  3. write a letter of application on its own; I will need you to complete the job application information template (see above) so that I can build up a picture of you which I will then capture in a letter of application which will get you noticed! Please upload it to the website using the contact form or email to me at info@written-for-you.co.uk

A word of advice: it’s perfectly all right to include in your CV a general supporting statement on your skills, qualities and experience, especially if you want to post your CV on a job board. But, in my long experience, it’s far better to write a supporting statement or application letter specific to the job you are applying to. For a small additional fee, I will do that for you provided that you can send me a job description and person specification.

If you would like to include a recent photo of yourself in the CV or letter of application, please upload it using the contact form to the left of this page.
